    cheapest air fare?

I'm looking at flying from Yakima, WA to Atlanta, GA on April 11th and coming back on the 13th. I'm trying to get the cheapest air fares. So far, the only place I've looked at is Orbitz and its fucking expensive! $626 per PERSON! Me and my gf are trying to make it to the ATL meet this year but if air fare doesn't drop to at least 400/person there's no way I'll be able to make it.

so...I guess what I'm asking is if anyone knows of any better places to get some cheap ass plane tickets.

I'm also going to be getting a hotel so yeah.

    **edit**

seems likes it much cheaper if I were to depart from seattle instead of Yakima.

For the city of Atlanta, your best option is probably AirTran. Their availability out west is limited though, so I don't know if that will work.

You could try priceline. You can also wait and call the airline right before the flight to see if they have any open seats. If they do, they will usually sell them for cheap, because any money for open seats is better than if they go empty.

Unfortunately, most airlines have spent the last 2 years cutting capacity so they could get the fares up.

You can search through 11 different sites for airfare and things.
        3 CB's gone....
        1 WK Overland....

Still miss the CB though......maybe one day.

Yeah, so far Priceline seems to be the cheapest. Right under $500/person. Then I'll end up spending another $50 or so on a hotel room. Then we need at least 200 each for spending money.

Fuck this is expensive. Driving is so much cheaper. I might just end up doing that, but she can't take that many days off school.

If William Shatner supports Priceline, you know it's gotta be good.

Southwest doesn't serve Atlanta. The closest you could probably get with them is somewhere in either Florida or North Carolina. If there was someone to shuttle them around, that might work, but if not, then they would need to rent a car in addition to that.

Sweet that you mentioned that then, Scott. I'm sure I could go to Orlando since there will be people from there driving up to ATL for the meet anyways. It's much cheaper if I fly to Orlando though.

Check out Southwest's wanna get away specials. They are currently running $49-99 one way. The problem is that they often don't list the specials that far in advance, so it depends when the meet is. They also don't have as many discounts to Orlando, since it is already a busy destination mostly year round.

You dont have family that works in the airlines. I get discounts for like anywhere in the world for like 140-200 bucks flat rate.
