Yeah, like I said earlier, I was thinking about Grassroots. I'll subscribe to that soon. Thanks lokuputha and G-Man.

Also, does Project Car magazine not have a mailing service? From the looks of their website, it seems that you can only buy them from newsstands. Maybe I'm missing something though.

I have automated subscription through magazines.com... got an email saying both Sport Compact Car and HCI are no longer being published.

Project Car is one of my favorite... Basically a DIY magazine for "budget" cars

not yet, they say they are working on it for the future. its a good magazine, they build a wide variety from a cavalier and saturn to 240sxs and an accord. they usually have budgets of like 5k and show step by step of all the parts they install.
hondatuning bored me, can only see some many B series turbo civics.... a prelude or accord every 10 issues isnt worth it for me, maybe if i had an integra or something id care

We got an issue of that in Autozone, and I couldn't put it down. Their builds felt so much more real.
The only other one I really pick up in the store is Honda Tuning.

I REALLY like that Project Car Tuner magazine though, I wish I could buy a subscription, lol.

same here man. they actually show you how to put the stuff on. i read how to put on a dry nitrous kit. i could find how to do that anywhere else. and they show you step by step.

but other than those, i read SCC, Turbo, and SOMETIMES Import Tuner. only because those mags actually show cars people work on and put their own blood sweat and tears into. that and they have articles in them that show reviews on different parts and dyno tunes showing actual gains from parts.

                  Honda Tuning.

I was subscribed to Honda tuning and SCC, HT was cheaper by a good amount so you cant go wrong with that

Don't think so. I believe the issue I read, their newest, is only issue 7. If they eventually offer a subscription service I'm DEFINITELY grabbing it, because I liked what I saw.

Project car is definatly a good buy, so far only at newsstands. I have every issue since the beginning. Honda tuning is worth the subscription, I lean towards tech magazines and those both meet my specs.

Hopefully others in my position will gain from this.
