havent heard about any plant hitting us but i read a theory about the poles axis shifting. with that shift the world"s climate would change, etc and end life. the world will be just fine though

Yeah I read that the mayan ands sumarians sed teh world will end. I think that the planet MIGHT get close enough to shift the earth a little but nothing to big. Maybe a volcano or tetonic plate spazzing out. Oh and if the MAYANs where so smart answer me this why couldnt they invent a fucking wheel ?

There are no planets currently on a collision course with Earth. Scientists can observe the movements of celestial bodies throughout the galaxy and beyond. If there were a planet coming for us, I think they would see it and warn us about it. They can even predict (keyword: predict) the potential for the collision of celestial bodies such as asteroids and comets several years into the future. Most of us on this site are high school graduates (I assume), and yet.....

The ancient Mayans were astronomers. One theory (the one that sounds the most believable to me) of what will happen in 2012 is that there will be an alignment of celestial bodies (two of those bodies being the earth and the sun). What will happen to us is anybody's guess.

the earth is a resilient thing. I think people are nieve to think that we could destroy it so easily. In respects to time, the earth has outlasted all civilizations.
As for 2012, the Mayans claim it to be the "end of the world as we know it", not the end of the world. Poleshifts have been recorded in the history of the earth. Some scientists have come to believe that a planet, such as Nibiru, will come close enough to the earth to stop it's rotation. The Sumerians and the Mayans both knew about this planet. When this planet does come it will have many effects on the weather, atmosphere and gravity. At this point, they expect the poles to shift as this planet passes by and soon the earth will resume rotation and will begin to repopulate itself to start the whole life cycle over again. They dont know if anything could survive this event, but if it's one thing that we have learned from history it's that life will find a means.
Some scientists have presented a reason as to why we have not found this planet yet. I don't know if anyone has seen The Most Important Image Ever Taken by Tony Darnell, but the video basically presents some facts and figures that go along with the Hubble pictures. If you look in Tony Darnell's video called Life in the Universe #1 he says that the percentage of sky that the lastest Hubble picture covers is the equivilant to the width of a dime held from 75ft away. That is tiny. Imagine trying to search the entire sky.



If you guys are interested in this kind of stuff I would recommend checking out this author named Zicharia Sitchin. He has written a series of books calledThe Earth Chronicals. Even if your skeptical it's a good read. It can only help you strengthen your arguement and maybe even help you learn things that you didn't know before. Sitchin believes that if this planet is coming then it will be 2074, i think is what he said in his book. This is when Nibiru is some how suppose to enter our solar system. I think Sitchin actually believes it's part ouf our solar system. Anyways, in his books he also includes his own creation myth and other explainations for strange events in history. It's pretty interesting. If you guys have questions I'll try my best to answer them.
