I know about the whole thing Mayan calendar thing. Someone, somewhere found that and assumed it would be true. Thus the rumor. Whether things theyve predicted are true or not....we'll find out, wont we?

This gets filed under the "Is there really a God/Afterlife?" file. No one person can come up with actual, physical proof. Until it happens, no one will know for sure.

It has less to do with a planet hitting the earth and more to do with a possible polar shift of the Earth based on the alignment of the Earth, sun and moon with the blackhole at the center of the Milky Way. That is why the Myan calendar ends on that date. It is purely astrological and amazingly accurate at that. It is possible, but not probable. The fact is that 12-21-12 is the accurate date for this planet alignment of the Winter Solstice, but that doesn't mean that the world is going to go into total chaos from it. We'll have to wait and see
