    the point in jdm power folding mirrors?? why do they make them like that in japan and not the us? is there a point?

    yes, from what I understand* in the crowded streets and parking places it helps keep the mirrors on the car vs getting smacked off or broken.

      japan has very tight parking, so the power folding is so people dont rip off the mirror

                get it pedo get it lol. Okay back to topic its nothiner seriously special about it . Its more of a convienience the bmw's and benz's have this option aswell accept some of them fold straight upwards vertically instead of horizontally.

                  I'm surprised no one has mentioned that they have also been on vehicles here in the states, such as chevy trucks.I don't believe it comes standard.But my dads new silverado has them and some of his past trucks had them as well.Makes it handy when going into a automated car wash.

                          i dont get why they have power folding mirrors for tight parking but somehow the japanese driver and passengers are able to open the door to get out. the door has to swing out further than a mirror to allow a normal human being to fit
