voted tires. Safety is first, my other cb had a leak and i would just make sure they oil was always where its suppose to be.

you can also look at it this way, w/o tires, you car won't go anywhere. the wheels need rubber on them to move and grip, an oil leak....which he said wasn't that bad...so i take it its not a number 1 priority.

Tires on the other hand can just explode if you push them to the breaking point, and you don't want that to happen when you're turning or braking now do you?

What is more controlable? the oil leak or your tires being shot? you can always add more oil....oil is cheap too, a buck or two a quart, since your leaking it out anyways no sense in putting expensive oil in. And he said he doesn't have to drive far.....so until he saves the funds for new gaskets and stuff, tires, to me would be my number 1 concern if I was in the OPs situation.

Tires are a safety issue. To me tires are the most important part of the car, the first line. The oil leak is a slow one. You can moniter it and act accordingly. If all else fails even the dummy light all is not lost. F22s are a dime a dozen and pretty cheap.

Because, honestly that question nor poll does not need to be ask/done.

Whether the oil leaks sporadically or runs like a river, oil is oil. The car's lifeline.

                              Priorities first.

Oil. (You know as well as I do, needed to operate motor).

Tires? Why did you wait until they were smoother than a baby's a$$? PLUS you stated you are close to work. (So walk/jog/ride a bike).

Suspension? You've been bouncing around for some time now. So why not continue some more?

All in all, I really do not think anyone is gonna want to hear, "My motor locked up"

But hey, why even listen to CB7 Members? You are going to do what Shadow1 wants to do anyway... Am I right?

P.S. Didn't you make a thread in the reg sec (MidAtl) about services Shadow1 can/willing to do???

well, think about it. i can find a motor with no problem. but i dont want to blow this one up since it runs so good.

i dont want to blow a tire. even driving around town, blowing a tire could get you in an accident around here.

the suspension isnt really a concern now. i can wait on that for a little bit. its more a comfort thing right now. i dont get on the highway too much and i dont drive all that often.
