Oddly, his H22 CB7 doesn't need 315 ft/lbs to turn in equal performance.
Perhaps there is a misunderstanding about how torque relates to performance in this thread.
Besides, how did a thread about what kind of SC it was turn into a thread about who had more torque?
and i have raced an h22 eg hatch while i was driving a super coupe and whooped his ass so its obviously nowhere near equal(NO HATING ON THE H22)
why am i even doin this anyways? this thread is obviously done if you have to come in here and start this

So to compare a stock H22 car to a stock SC. Why don't you go run a stock 4th gen Prelude with a stock SC (which was even the same age) and see how it turns out again. After all, that is 161 lb/ft of torque vs 315, and with equal drivers, the SC isn't going to win. Why does the SC not come out on top? Because torque doesn't move cars. HP does. The lack of understanding is in how torque translates into HP and why power to weight ratio and area under the curve is really what matters. We could even get more essoteric and make the mention that HP at the WHEELS is what matters, and how gearing affects such things.
He made a comment about the HP, because he was probably suprised at how a 3.8L V6 WITH boost is only making 210HP. That is a legitimate surprise as modern V6s are making significantly more than that at 3.0 Liters and are moving almost equally heavy cars to faster times STOCK.
Really, it is a debate with no end, because both sides have merit. You can make a 3.8 SC breathe better and get a lot more HP. But at the same time, you can boost an NA engine and accomplish the same.

aa stock gtp runs low 15 to mid 14s. i know a guy that has a intake and runs high 13s with a stock gtp.
the s/c t birds suck ass.

We aren't talking about GTP's now are we?
We are talking about STOCK Thunderbird SC's, which whether you like it or not, were mid to high 15 second cars stock.
P.S. Since you brought up GTP's, so does a STOCK BB4.

so we could also compair a s/c t bird to a l67
We are talking about a STOCK TBIRD Supercoupe vs a stock Prelude VTEC.
Get over it. Nothing else has anything to do with it.
Just read next time.

okay this is kinda off topic BUT still relates to this supercharger.....I didn't have a chance to get the intercooler off of that car, It was painted black stock and sat vertical near the headlight towards the driverside front of the car. Would it help my sale to get ALL the supercharger related parts? or do people just look for the SC when they want to boost their domestic car?
