Not likely stock, and if stock, then not until 100+ MPH where drag becomes an issue, but by then it is too late and you would go to jail anyway.

yeaa that is the main issues with these engines.my favorite part of these cars is the firm suspension switch its amazing how much difference it makes.and for a boat they dont handle too bad,and i peronally had a fun time driving it,even though it is a boat.

yea but 100+ is the funnest part of these cars,it feels like it doesn't lose anything.the needle just keeps going

Yeah, right up to the point you go to jail. They can't do it on a dragstrip, and they aren't likely to do it on a road course...

Funny how people call Honda owners "ricers" because they drive stupid...

i dont drive my honda like that ,plus it was at three in the morning with nobody else on the interstate ,so no harm to anyone else.i dont drive like that in broad daylight.so dont criticize unless you know all the facts.and why do you care so much about what other people call honda drivers.plenty of people with mustangs, corvettes, mercades and every other type of cars drive a hell of alot more idiotic than myself.
you only live once might as well have fun while your still here.

I simply made a statement about stupid driving. YOU are ASSUMING that I am talking about YOU. Maybe you have a guilty conscience, I don't know.

All I said is that a car that can go fast above 100MPH is for all intents and purposes pointless, unless it is doing it on a racetrack. Even at highway interstate speeds, you generally top out at what like 85MPH? Or at least you should.

And I didn't say you can't have fun with cars on an open road. I also never said you did anything in traffic or broad daylight (although it could be very effectively argued that it is safer during broad daylight, than at night) but realistically, you can't really open a car up like that, because truthfully, how often do you find a stretch of road that is completely clear and it is safe to do so?

I don't have a problem. I made a simple statement about their stock acceleration, and here are two monkeys attacking me like I shot Jesus Christ or something.

They aren't fast stock. Get over it. I didn't say they couldn't be fast, I didn't say they didn't have potential etc. I said that they run mid to high 15's stock. Nothing more, nothing less. In their day, that was highly respectable. We aren't in their day anymore.

I didn't say anything about W bodies, I didn't say anything about superchargers, domestics, Ford or GM.

I called what times they ran stock. That was in response to a snide comment about "torque" which was in turn a response to a semi snide comment about HP (which I think was more surprise than anything).

Now I have two dudes trying to jump down my throat because I didn't bow down to the Thunderbird SC's amazing power and speed. Sorry. And don't make the mistake of thinking that I think H22's are fast either, because they aren't. But a stock Prelude VTEC is very likely faster than a stock SC, which is all I said. Perhaps they feel faster than the really are. Torque or more precisely "acceleration G forces" can be VERY misleading.

You are the one who brought top end into it, not me. Going 100+MPH on a public road is not very safe, and it is certainly not very legal. I NEVER said I haven't done it, I never said you are terminally stupid if you do, and I never said that it automatically meant you are going to kill someone. But let's face it. You are safer on a track, and that really isn't anything more than a bragging right because you can pretty much never use it. And if you DO use it on public roads all the time, then you are being a ricer.

you made the statement at my comment incase you do not remember.its not an assumption its pretty clear

who cares if it is pointless, i never said there was a point in doing it . i simply stated that it was fun.most of the time i do the speed limit.it was just a fun experience so get over it.

i never stated you said anything about not having fun on an open road .you must be assuming that i did so.oh, and pretty much every night you can find open roads were i live with zero cars .
