$500/week is my goal. Above and beyond would only get sweeter.

Ive lived on $12k/yr, 24k would only help a bit and id have some extra cash for the CB.

I just have decisions like, Neuspeed Bar, New Carpet or Save

i live in vancouver BC, (thats canada eh, the great white north!) anyways, dude i work with is in his mid 50's and his 23 year old son just bought his first house (a foreclosed home, fully furnished, 2400sq ft) for 110k with only a 30k down payment.

i plan on jumpin on this shit in the summer!

also, for prices of cars...some companies are doing so bad, that their GIVING away free motorcycles to whomever buys a car, a dealership by my house is giving away cbr's to anyone who buys a 07 or 08 car....ford dealership had a sale in the summer, buy a 08 F150, and get a free base model 08 ranger....

cant wait to see what this brings me in the near future

What airport you work at? I've actually seen a lot more people flying because 100LL is only 3.50 where I work and jet is $4.00.

Not sure what you guys do for a living or what your minimum wages are, here it's $8 something. But weekly I make about $600. My wife is part time though and is lucky to make $600 a month. Economy is sucking big right now. We just moved out of our apartment, trying to get another one but it won't be ready until after the first of the year. So we're crashing at my parents house until then. Hey, can't argue with free rent for a month

geez, looks like im a lucky one to be working in the coal industry right now, coal powers over 50% of the nation and me being a fueler id be one of the last to go, so im not too worried about myself, but i am bout my family, since my parents own a hardware store and with the drop in gas price ppl are driving out of town more, which means less business. Before gas prices dropped the store was bringing in nearly 6k a day which is alot for a town of 2-3000 ppl, but now they'll be lucky to get 3k a day

Should start slowing down very soon. All the machine shops around here are super slow, which means our shop is ultra slow. Its worse than 9/11. Good news is that hopfully when I get out of college the economy will be coming back up. Good for finding a job.

We're close to recession, but not quite there yet.

You have to remember that although things may become cheap, so may your job's (so to speak)
Already there has been talks of 4 day working weeks here, which means the customer has less money to spend on things - hence less buying.

yeah things aren,t very good in my area I usually do drywall work and with really no house,s being built I,m not finding work and the jobs I,m getting offered are like 8to 9 bucks an hour and with a 700 a month child support payment after taxes im left to live off of like 300 bucks a month which sucks.
Yeah I,d say we are in a recession hell 2 friends of mine just lost their jobs lately and they do drywall as well and one of them just bought his first house and now he may loose it yeah life is kinda fucked now I hope things get better cause I miss making good money.

I'm surprised, I thought I was making OKAY money for a 19 year old but I added it up and it comes up to about $52,800 a year before taxes. Keep in mind I live in Texas and wages are lower down here... Damn I should by a house or something
