Because we're quite brand-obsessed. Acura doesn't want anything in its lineup to seem lower scale especially since there are bound to be some people that'd notice its' similarity to a civic. I do hate most USDM alterations to honda's lineup. Seems like everything the US design studio makes is butt ugly but the overseas designs just look better IMO.

False. NSX-R GT. They did a limited run of the JGTC types for homologation purposes. Way expensive but they had the roofward intake and widebody kit all stock. The original is hot too though.

Thats another reason why they killed the RSX in the US.
Since the new gen Civic Si was creeping up in price with about the same power.
