      Yes, pretty much. When an insurance company pays out a claim for a totalled vehicle, they are buying the car from you. You can keep the car and have them take out from the claim an amount equal to what they could sell the totalled vehicle for. If they don't feel like the car is worth anything to them, sometimes they will let you keep it without decreasing the amount of the claim any. I had two cb's that were hit, and the 1st one was much worse than the 2nd, but the 1st one they took out around $350 from the claim check for me to keep the car, and the 2nd one, which was actually still drivable as it was, they just let me keep.
      semitas, good to hear your alright, and sorry about the loss. I have a rosewood cb also, and i actually have fogs that look just like yours, and in the same position.

            The Loss...More than just a car...

            To have friend is one thing...... BUT, a FRIEND that will lay down his life to protect yours???? PRICELE$$!!! I will TRULY miss this ride bro... It seems only yesterday when me and you were commenting each other's rides... I am TRULY glad that you are okay, and regret that one life needed to be sacrificed for another, but only one LIFE really counts and I'm glad you're here to vent and lament...
            :::Moment of Silence:::
            I've had my Auto since August of 1998, and I recently got the twin which is the 5sp sunroof version of my auto... Both are a part of me, and both are READY to give their lives to protect me and those who ride with me... I just PRAY it doesn't come to that.... Funny as it may seem, I include my CB7 peeps in my daily Prayers* and you never know who's down for you, until the time comes, you know? Keep your head up, and get back in the game ASAP... Again, I feel sad for your loss, but Happy we still have you bro... That's all that matters! Oh and by the way..............
            ROSEWOOD BROWN LOVE FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

              Again thank you guys for your kind words, here is an update or what going on:

              the ladys insurance company (Cincinnati Insurance, which i have never heard of) said that they use the NADA instead of the KBB to value the car, of course the NADA gives it a lower value, they said that they would give me a certain amount if they keep the car and everything in it and it would be the same amount if i kept the car and sold the engine, plus i get to keep the suspension setup

              so thats what i did, i bought the car from them for $100, took it out of the towing yard, me and the new owners (lucky dude, whose pops got a lot of money) took the motor out, it was pretty easy, the only difficult part was undoing the shifter cables

              being towed back

              me and the new owner, guess which one am I, yes Semitas is Black, AHHHHHHH

              sold the engine for $1000 and still kept my suspension

              the next car that i wanted was a 94-95 accord EX 4Dr, 5speed, i looked and looked and nothing, most of them were 2dr, there were a bunch of LX but i HAVE to have a sunroof, im from the north coast of Honduras, and i use my sunroof on a daily basis!!!

              so i was like let me go search on the "other side" so while not a Cb7 it has the b7 part, except the first letter is a................D

              1995 Integra LS, this car is CLEAN, when i first test drove it, it was in the night time, but when i met up with the guy to buy it, i was taken back by how clean it was, he only used it to go to work, and that was evident when you looked in the car, i wanted it to have a sunroof, 2 airbags, 4 doors, and OBD1, and thank God i got all that,

              so this is going to be my dd until i pick up my next cb7, which will have to be a 92 or 93 ex (sunroof is a must)
