are detergents like gas treatment, oil detergent good?

well the thing is, one of my cars smokes just the 1st start up of the day, 8-9/10 times.. and i was curious if buying those stop smoke, stop burn oil additives would do any good.


the car is 59k, and a 97maxima. it seems like its burning oil, but the thing is, this only happens for the 1st start up of the day regardless cold or hot. any other time its all good at start up.
