My Alpine HU got stolen

i 2nd not getting a kenwood. they suck balls. i had one that all of a sudden locked up after about a year.

i like my alpine (cda-7893...i think) because it has nice features and a nice looking display. but to be honest, i really like my pioneer deh-p6500 a lot better. i would go with pioneer, but dont drop below the model i just mentioned. the lower line is kinda crap. the model i mentioned goes for only $150-160 on ebay i think.

I had the same thing happen to me. I had just bought a new Kenwood and I was in the theater on Christmas eve watching a movie and some fuckin' thieves shattered my window and stole my HU, two twelves and a 660 PPI amp. It sucked, especially the garbage bag part! Seriously though, I wouldn't buy another Alpine, I just bought a new one after my other Alpine got stolen by the fuckers at the junkyard, and it already is not working. It sucks the donkey dick. Fuck Alpine.

I wouldn't just write off Alpine like that. They make VERY nice equipment, that has been known to last a very long time. You might just have gotten a defective unit. There are several variables that could cause a HU to not work properly, including the installation.

well ill definitely check out the pioneers...i used to think pioneers were of a lesser breed than alpine and other brands but when i purchased a couple 6X9 pioneer speakers i was verrrry pleased with them

i am a alpine man my self. i think they make some of the best HUs even tho they are a bit pricey. the QT is super on them so clear clean and smoooth lol and there skip protection and mp3 units are the shit!

pioneer is good i havent used many but i do hear good things i think you cant go wrong with either as long as you do your hw and pick the best HU that matches your price range and has all the stuff u want it to have

i made my alpine skip on level 23 with my new subwoofer but i never turn it above 17 for daily driving, and usually listen to it on 15. i wish mine had mp3, but it doesnt. but also for some reason i try burning mp3's on my computer and i get a buffer underrun error after like 1 min 30 seconds. ive done it 3 times, same thing.

pioneer/premier > any other brand. MY pioneer never fucken skips, and you can pick them up on ebay for a fraction of the cost.
