looks like ot got crashed. when i evaluate cars with front end damage i look for ones which crashed harder, that way you know it was running well enough to be hauling ass right before it wrecked. i hate VWs though, imho

That would have been a nice car and I think they are asking way too much for that, I know it has the VR6 engine in it, but who knows that the wreck did to harm it. Also how long has it been sitting outside, I'm sure those leather seats are half way to being ruined. Lol and what do adjustable coil overs do if you don't have any wheels.

The point I was trying to make is that they are listing it has all those parts yet it's junk....it would take a fuckload to restore, the engine looks trashed, its been sitting on blocks for who knows how long. Rotors are rusted to shit.

yeah that does suck, I love the older model Gti better than the newer model, I'm the same way with the Jetta.

Wow... $2000 for scrap? I couldn't sell my crashed DX for $200!

Those VR6 GTIs are crap anyway. The V6 is just too heavy, and the suspension is designed too soft. It's a cushy, front-heavy ride. The only good GTIs are 4 cylinder.

I was looking for a car, $3000 or less, for my sister (turning 16 in January ohhhhh boiiiiiiii) That popped up and when I clicked it I immediately started laughing.

Was that picture taken at a junkyard?

No way that car is worth $2000.

The engine could sell for $500. Transmission for $300. The suspension for $300. The interior is probably shot.Every body panel seems to have damage (all that I can see). Other random parts MIGHT get $500 total...

So yeah, going on what you see in the pic, and my estimates... that car could get about $1600 in a partout.

It very well may be. Some fool would pay $500 for it, though.
