Anyone tried transporting an H22 in their CB7?

haha, yeah funny question I know, but my parents are out of town w/ the Van and all my friends have work today....I'm just wondering does it fit anywhere in the car? in the trunk perhaps if you remove that cardboard thing?

Any ideas on how to move it?

Oh, and I already separated the Auto tranny from it so its just the engine, w/o all the accessories.

How far do you have to transport it? Home Depot has those truck rentals for pretty cheap as long as you don't have to go to far. I rented one once to transport a huge desk for my studio and it was only about $40

yeah i was thinking the pass seat, but won't it dent the floor? since the seatrails kinda distribute the load so it doesn't go right though one point? I can set some planks down and take out my seat i guess...

Take out the passenger seat and open the door as wide as you can. the put a cloth on it or some sheets to cushin both the bottom of the floorboard aswell as the door so that you dont score it up. And lean the motor back so that it just wont fall or lunge forward just incase you have to make a sudden emergency stop. Best of luck

yeah, that would be bad if I have to slam on my brakes....i guess I'll pad it w/ A LOT of pillows lol.

Anyone know how much an H22 weighs? I kinda have to haul the Auto tranny in the back as well. I just don't wanna strain my CB7

I'd say roughly 250-275 lbs with the transmission.

Well I know over here Home Depot charges only $19.00 for the first 75 minutes. I'm not sure how much it is after that as it has been a while since I rented one but I think they charge a certain price each additional half hour.
You should check it out and find the exact price in your area. They are really pretty cheap. Beats the hell out of Uhaul and I would hate to hear that something happened to your CB7 or motor. Here is a link to the store finder that rent out trucks. You should find the nearest store to either where the motor is or where it is going obviously.

                      My advice?

Rent a truck. No need in seeing whether or not ALL the transporting weight will strain the CB or not.

didn't that one girl haul one in her car all the way to TN from Kansas?

too bad i don't live in AZ, i'd go get it for you for the cost of gas and a lunch.

honda 4cyl engines fit just fine in our trunks. as do transmissions. I've hauled both before without issues.
