haha i started a trend to lol.

for me well i was 16 with a permit to drive and my mom asked wut car i wanted to drive it was either her 91 accord or a 90 jetta well i picked the accord and drove around for 8 months with out my license in the accord and before she gave it to me it was my sisters first car and i loved it from there.

they didnt let me do mods to my moms accord so i put away money for my own accord but this time it would be 5spd and it took me about 4 months to find one and i grabbed it

and i have learned alott as everyone else

my uncle's having 'em and me working on 'em and telling 'em how to hook it up.

one had a grey 90, and the other a blue 90. the blue one was repainted chameleon and dropped on 17s, the 90 just had subtle mods like clears up front and tint.

i always knew it would be my first car and denied it, like "yeah, imma get a 99 hatchie."

then when i had 4k, i went car shopping. went to see a 97 hatch cx, and it had no a/c so i said thats out the question.

then i went online, craiglist, autortrader, etc. and i found 2 green cb7s, one fully loaded with 80k for 5k, and one with 68k for 4500. i went to see the one with fogs, etc. for 5k, and the guy told me it was 6k, i knew they we're arab theives right away. so i bounced.

called the owner of the one with 68k, it was a one-owner lady, i said wow. and went to see it, it was dirty as fuck and had a little tremble, but i drove it and it pulled boyyy. so i offered 2500, and she looked pissed and closed the car up meaning no sale. so i said 3k cash, and she said "umm.. alright." gave me the manual, OEM spare keys and all that. i cleaned it up, steam cleaned engine, shampooed interior, and waxed exterior. it has some faded paint and shit but i'll get that taken care of sooner or later. i noticed one of the spark plug wires was cracked.. so i tuned it up, using mainly oe parts and damn was it running smooth. only thing non-oe was the fram oil filter, but imma go with a oe one this time.

i will nevAr sell this car man! i love it. i'm hooked.

i got my first cb7 coupe with no idea of what i was getting myself into, lol. from then on (april of 2000), cars have been my passion.

my parents actually bought me a 93 (?) Celica, but the deal fell through because they found out that it didnt have AC. such a shame...

as for the modding, a buddy of mine (who had a '88 legend at the time) got me into it. since then, hes gotten a cb7 and we have been competing against each other ever since. friendly competition, of course

I got my car in April 2001, right after my 93 Cavalier wagon took a shit. My mom's fiancee owns a small Chrysler dealership, and he had a number of decent cars in stock... 93 Camry, 95 Stratus, and a 92 Accord (5 speed). The Accord was actually my last choice. I wanted the Stratus (my first car was a Dodge Shadow, so I liked Dodge... and I liked American).

Well, my mom's fiancee pretty much decided that the $5500 CB7 was the best car for me, and that he would teach me how to drive stick (he was a HORRIBLE teacher, but I learned well enough!). He sold me the car for $3400, which was a decent deal, I guess. I paid it off in 2 years. After seeing some of the deals out there, I kinda got ripped... Still, it's been faithful to me. Never actually broke down, though I've fixed countless things.

Why I got hooked you ask?
I was looking around online one day soon after I got the car... I figured "I have a Honda, so why shouldn't I do 'Honda' things to it?".. So I went on Ebay and bid $800 on some chrome 18" Focal wheels... Someone up there loves me, cuz I lost that auction (even though I had my girlfriend try to bid last minute while I was at work...) When I lost that auction, I began looking into other things to do. I was getting good at driving stick, so I was having fun with the control of the power of the car... and I wanted more power. I found www.hondahookup.com and made a few idiotic posts. I learned about engine swaps, a little about turbo, and a whole lot about what was "cool" and what was "rice". I liked the CB7 then, but I still liked the CD5 better (bleh...)

It wasn't until Victor (who now drives an EVO) showed me cb7tuner that I REALLY got passionate about my car. I mean, I liked it, but it was just a stopgap before. Now it's my lifetime companion... I don't ever plan on selling it, even if I don't drive it ever again. I'll store it and remember fondly the good times we had

            Cliff Notes:
I got my car reluctantly because my future stepfather said so.
I tried to go rice, and fortunately failed.
I took an interest in improving my car, but didn't really LOVE the platform.
Found CB7tuner.com and realized what a gem I have.

This site is responsible for my deepest feelings towards my car. Because of the board, and its members, I feel confident with my car. In fixing it, improving it, and making it impressive in every way possible. Thanks guys!

my love for honda started back when i was a punk kid in highschool over 10 years ago. i was a drivethru cashier and mcdonalds and i would see cars come though all day. a few times i saw a 91 maroon 4dr civic... and something about the straight-edge look of it, i loved... just like our cars or the older legends.

years pass and i go out looking for a car. and actually a few days before i bought my cb i was going to see a private seller that was selling a 96 white civic ex coupe. but he had just sold it when i went there, i then went to a local dealership and i saw my car, and i just knew it was the one. paid in full that day and drove it home.

i will keep this car till the day i die, i love it. i woudnt want anything else to be my first car.

Well after I rebuilt my camaro z28 I couldn't handle the 11 miles to the gallon . Sold that and was looking for a car. Well I knew I wanted something that got good gas mileage but didn't know where to start looking.

My friend had a DA (90-93 integra) and he suggested looking at honda's. So I looked in the news paper and found a low mile decent priced cb7. It was 6 years ago the car had 80K on her and now has 186K. The body was beautiful and after the test drive I liked it...little did I know I was going to love it.

I had it stock for about a year and then finally got some insight to aftermarket performance. Started with intake and a drop and wheels. Then she got stolen from me and I got her back. but didn't lose my heart...fixed her up and kept my head up. I still have the same car as I did 6 years ago, and in all honesty didn't think it was going to last this long . I am thinking of getting another car but I am torn between another cb7 or a newer car 6th gen accord (mostly due to the cb7s around here have really high miles that I have seen... )
No more cb7, 7 years of ownership and 196K on the ticker before she was sold

Current beast: 98 ej8 on 7psi with a 15g turbo and other goodies!

Well, before I had my CB7 I drove this old van around. I really was not looking for a car of any kind at the time because the van still ran. Well, my dad's friend kinda stumbled upon my car, and I ended up with it. I really didnt do anything to the car (besides a CD player) for the first year and a half. I guess the car grew on me.

I got tired of driving my Bronco every day because it was hogging gas going from BOTH schools & work.. so around December 4th three years ago my parents were going to buy me a Honda. I had my eyes on a silver 91.. it had a little rust, but the guy said "come check out this car int he garage in the back." Under the car cover, there was my car. It was PERFECT! No rust, perfect paint.. sometimes I wish I would have kept it stock and just done up another one. If I had pics, you'd all be amazed at how a 8 year old car (at the time) could look so good.

My friend has had a 4th gen for 6 years and it's sooooo low and has a kit, air, lambo doors, and all (one with the CC2 headlights) and I just loved his car so I started doing mine up.

He sold me my Tenzo-R SHU-4 18's with Toyo tires for $500 so I just kept going.

I'll continue when I get out of class, I'm running late!

I never would have thought I'd end up with a Honda. When I moved to Missouri from Chicago my cousin was my only friend. He was seven years older than me and always looked out for me, cruisin' around and shit. He had a white 90 lx 4dr. He had 16in chrome progressives, Nakayama intake, and a glasspack. He asked me one day after about a year of hangin' with him if I liked his car. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, but I told him straight up I didn't like it at all. Two years later, after all the cool times of hangin' out with him, he got married, and we never really hung out again. I was driving my Mom's car to work and at the top of my road there was a charcoal grey honda accord. I loved the color and when I saw it was a stick I new I wanted it. Took it for a test drive and fell in love. I bought it from the original owner, who had had it sitting in his garage for four years or so. I had just paid off the loan and was starting to tune it(thanks to this site). One Saturday morning I decided to pass two vehicles in a valley and crashed head-on into a Ford Explorer that popped over the hill. It totaled my baby. I literally sat and cried in my driver's seat while the fire-fighters were trying to get me out. They asked if I was in pain, you know, what hurt. Even though I had broken bones, lacerations and deep bruising, I was in pain because I had wrecked my car.
As soon as I healed enough to drive again, I bought another CB7, the piece of shit I have now. I bought back my wrecked baby, and swapped as many old parts from her into my new car, even if they didn't need to be replaced, just so I could have as much of her with me as possible. So, if I ever post a member's ride, you'll see grey body panels on my california raisin purple accord. Sorry for the long post, it kinda took off on me.

About 1998 my 85 Accord that my father traded me for my Olds blew its head gasket. Looking at a local Honda dealership I ran across a 90 EX coupe in Aztec Red. $5400 later it was mine. In Jan of 2001 it was plowed by a Jeep Renegade and I was about to buy a 94 Infiniti when I ran across my current 93 Accord at the same dealership that I bought the 90. White trim on a white car looked super sexy to me.

After all the taxes and crap were paid, as well as some repair work was done, a Frost White 1993 10th Anniversary Edition with only 70,000 miles on it was mine for the pricely sum of $8000 (they wanted 9950).

I still have the original window sticker that was found in the glove box.
