Its not my all-time favorite, but a good one nonetheless. My mom told me that she and her friends "back in the day" used to go to midnight screenings of it and they dressed up as their fav character and took newspaper, and threw rice, toast, hot dogs. Squirted water guns, danced in the aisles, added their own words, yelled at the screen...it was crazy, lol.

Just a good movie with lots of actors WAY back; Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Meatloaf, Barry Bostwick...doing the TIME WARP.

yea aummm no. not a fan of seeing men in women's clothes. hated it although the movie with tim curry had it moments but still not my cup of tea

One of my friends is actually going to go do that tomorrow down in Nashville, he says it's a lot of fun.

awesome awesome movie

went to a midnight showing of it a bout 10 years ago in Greenwich Village and the audience was so into the movie i barely watched the movie. it was a very fun experience, gotta do it again

i did not dress up as any of the characters, i just threw rice and toilet paper (while yelling "great scott")

tell your mom that it still shows at some theaters in lower Manhattan at midnight with all of the "extras"

They used to act it out under the screen at the Harwan Theater near me. My cousin, who was wheelchair-bound, played the professor. There was also lots of singing, dancing, shouting, throwing of food, having sex in the seats, smoking various substances, etc... I went once.

They've since torn down the Harwan to build yet another much needed Walgreen's.

For over ten years it used to show every Friday night at midnight at a local theater here until they tore it down. We still have a small neighborhood theater that shows it once in a while, but it's not like the old days. I actually have it on VHS somewhere and I've got a couple of friends that will chime in subconsciously if it's playing in the background at a party. You'll be having a conversation and while you're talking they'll respond to the movie.

Made me laugh. Dozens of tuners showing up. getting out and looking like RHPS. FTMFW!!! The young bucks wouldn't appreciate it, but us older types would!
