Great so someone hit me AGAIN...when will this end?

So I was on my way to Checker to get a steering rack boot, since each store only had 1 in stock...I had to go ALL over town to get those boots as usual. Its about 7pm at night I accidentally went to the wrong Checker Auto, the right one was only a block up the road, Idk why they have two w/in a mile of each other but great.

Since I went to the wrong Checker, I had to leave....So I was pulling out of the parking lot, waiting to turn left behind this woman in a black 2005 VW Jetta. She gets to the driveway exit, there's two lanes of oncoming traffic coming south and two going north w/ a median turn lane. Well, that lane was occupied by a Tacoma, and she still went anyway. Bad choice. She then realized that the Tacoma was blocking her in the median lane, so she stopped dead in the middle of a 45mph road w/ cars coming. So what does she do next? clicks it in reverse and just starts backing up, like a panic back up, not slowly. Then when I'm completely stopped, she hits me. I was like OH FUCK. MY G-Square Grill, MY TSX projectors!!!!! and quickly got out, quite calm, but thinking that in my mind, thinking the worst.

Turns out, all that broke was my bumper light (bought on ebay for 20 shipped), Lexus Fog (pass side) and thats it. I was pretty amazed. Her car, was dented in about 8 inches and the rear bumper was TOAST. HUGE dent, cause by my tank of a CB7 lol. BUT, she did manage to crack my bumper, right where the bumper light goes...so I'm gonna need a new bumper. Hopefully they'll give me a new Legend Coupe lip, since it looks kinda scuffed up.

That now makes TWO VW's both w/ chicks behind the wheel that hit me recently. My other previous accident was back on 3/24/08 when this chick in a VW beetle rearended me. haha, and now i get front ended. but yeah...hopefully her insurance will give me a big fat check again. That'd be nice.

    But here's the pics:

^^^Just inches away from my TSX retro which I slaved over and JDM G Square grill which took me FOREVER to find....pheeewwwww, that was close.

^^^^BYE BYE Ebay bumper light which lasted me impressively 4 years.

^^good size crack on the bumper. But the bumper light took the brunt of the damage.

^^^Lexus Fog broke, glass everywhere. And the bulb blew out as well, so it doesn't work no more

^^^blinker light bulb still works though

My poor CB7, getting roughed up by VWs front and back this year....its okay though....it will soon have a new heart.....H22 Baby!

don't forget most women buy them too. so the women driver statistic takes over lol.

But yeah, I was shitting bricks hoping that my expensive TSX projectors and G square grill were left unscathed...and thankfully they were...thank you Honda gods. its just a bumper and bumper light w/ fogs that I have to worry about. CAKE to fix.

Come to think of it, my bumper didn't even budge, her car got pushed in about 8 inches lol. I love how strong CB7s are. Esp. the bumpers.

yeah thank god, that happened at the driveway entrance, so my car was like a foot above her jetta that was coming UP the driveway incline, if we woulda been on level ground, my front end would be FUCKED up, headlight broken grill mashed.....wow, i don't want to think about that scenario

Quite frankly, it will stop when the State of Arizona starts requiring people to know how to drive PRIOR to getting a license.

Having said that, it could have been worse.

You can still even fix that bumper. it will be cheaper and just in case it happens again...knock on wood...and make her pay for some new JDM fogs

Haha, so THATS why AZ is ranked the worst in education as well....I'm not proud of that. Even though she was a 40-50 Y.O. woman w/ a grandchild that wouldn't stop screaming in the backseat, idk if that statistic affects her. But she seemed like it was no big deal, even though her car would prob. cost at least a grand to fix. heh, women drivers....I hate em.

how do you fix the bumper? its cracked. I think it'd be easier to get a Certifit part, but I'm going to try for an OEM Honda one, since well, it is a Honda one thats currently on there. I'm gonna push for the rental car as well. These people need to learn to be pay damn attention and not be tards behind the wheel.

JDM fogs would be nice...but I know I won't get THAT much for that one foglight that broke. Besides, I could use that money for a new chipped ECU for my H22!

Yeah, its cake taking off the front bumper, I've done it many times, when doing the TSX headlights. I get the rental car added on just incase they write me a check. I mean I'm not gonna TELL them I'm gonna do it myself. I'd get an estimate from the body shop, and they'll give me a number of days it'll take to get fixed. Thats the number of days I ask for the rental car. Make sense? I've been hit a couple times...lol, so I regretfully know how this process works. Amazingly ALL by women drivers come to think of it. Rear-ended twice, and now backed into.

yeah, i doubt its fixable. I'll prob. just get a new bumper cover and have it painted. I can't live w/ a cracked bumper...thats just not my style. It may be structurally intact, but i'd cringe everytime I have to wash/wax over that part.

I don't mind it in THAT context. just not literally when it comes to my CB7! ahahaha. Too bad the insurance places are closed on the weekend, I wanted to get my quote for a new bumper.

Crap this HAD to happen right as I was getting parts for my H22 swap. Now this may push it back.
