FU(|<ING Economy... i went out of business!

    yeah.
    i went out of business.
    [
    temporarily at least.

Junk yards buy cars for about 100 to 150 dollars without towing or sometimes with towing for maybe 100.
I was able to buy junk cars for 150 dollars 2 months ago and pick up. Therefore i could beat junkyard prices.

The prices of steel 2 months ago was 10 dollars for every 100 pounds.

for a 3000 pound car that was 300 dollars i would get from the steel alone.

Then, the 5 grand i payed for the business, besides my trailer, went to my catalytic converter connection. Which i would get a catalytic converter for say 150 dollars.

So I would get 300 in weight and 150 in the cat. plus sometimes 50 if it had aluminum wheels 15 for a radiator.

so lets say thats 500 dollars i would get from a car, and pay out 150

    i was making ~350 dollars a car.

NOW, The price of steel dropped to 4 dollars for every 100. thats 120 bucks for a 3000 pound car.

The cat prices instead of being 150 are now down to 75.

today i got a call and my cat buyer shut down, because everyone stopped buying cats, because they are going to sit on them until the price goes back up, which could take a year or six months or 3 months they dont know. He said they could be back in business in a week but probably not.

So today, i literally went out of business, because he bought all my core parts aluminum and cats.

Now the max i can pay for a car is about 40 - 50 dollars.

Yeah i went out of business.

Im hoping in january when obama becomes president, the world turns around. because it sucks ass right now.

2 months ago, i was making about 5 grand a month.

I have over 1000 in rent im paying for plus a bunch of other shit.

I am still buying SOME junk cars ( like a honda) and either fixing them (which is bringing me on average <3k a month. or selling all there parts.

I have a mercedes that i bought for 1200 that im parting out, the interior alone is worth 800 dollars,

SO im not totally going down the drain, but my business is no longer able to operate the way it was designed.

Now Im opening up a paint shop, and hoping for the best. too bad RIGHT next door to me is one of the biggest paint shops in CNTRL FL. LOL

but my ability to pwn there prices may bring me business.

I gotta tell ya, choosing to open your new paint shop next to one of the biggest in Central Florida sounds like a plan for disaster to me. It's bad enough having to compete, but you're planning on competing right next door? I see epic fail in the future. I hope not for your sake, but it's almost guaranteed.

Were you actually licensed, or just doing it? What I mean is, were you an actual business, or just playing like one?

He paid $5000, so I assume he was legally registered as a business. That's actually a very mature step. I'm impressed by that, Dave.

I also wanted to ask... what are you doing about taxes? As a sole proprietor, you're required to pay taxes quarterly. If you don't make your quarterly payments, the government adds interest and penalties. It'd be a nasty surprise next April!

Neither candidate is going to fix anything. The next guy probably won't either. This is going to take a while, and one man isn't going to be the answer anyway.

                              Yeah. He'll fix the economy.
He'll provide us with free healthcare, too. And all the women in America will become super hot. And you'll be able to run your car on tap water!
