    Pictures as promised. 56K beware!

Alrighty, well as I had said - pictures of my Talon would be posted Saturday (which is today...at least for me on the Pacific coast) I put in a new alternator, fat ass aluminum radiator, thermostat, new hoses, yadda yadda. It was raining and it fuckin sucked, but here are the pics.

    Old piece of shit alternator

    Looks so empty....

    Up on those jackstands

Teeny tiny turbo. Was going to clean the engine bay but it was raining so I didn't. Yes, that is old dried up coolant by the turbo.

Hate the damn decals on the back...all white and nasty. Bleh.

New alternator in....so clean and shiny

    Old leaky radiator removed

    Radiator removed

Hmm, wonder how much space I can fill...

Fat fuckin front mount.....haha, I wish.

Looks about double the size of the stock one

Decided to go with the stock radiator fans after reading some negative things about the slim fans not producing enough airflow.

    New radiator in!!!

    Fuckin fat

Fan is really close to the manifold!

Yea, AWD. I've driven the EVO8 and STI and this car has tons of grip...doesn't have the different pavement settings and all that, and the suspension is a bit different but I haven't broken the tires free yet around corners. S-curves have been real fun

                          That's a first gen. They don't.

Looks clean, and stock... Was it ever modified? If not, you found yourself a gem. It's rare to find an unmodified DSM, at least the turbo AWD variety! Did the leaky radiator ever cause overheating, do you know? The 4G63 is a tank, but it'll die quick if it gets overheated... and that little hairdryer 14b certainly blows some hot air through the dinky sidemount intercooler!

Take care of it, and it'll take care of you. You still have a Honda to back it up, right? I wouldn't want to trust an old turbo DSM as a daily... especially if you're going to mod it. Not your only daily, anyway.

No, it is 100% stock...well it WAS until I put the radiator in

There was only one owner...it had a broken water hose going to the turbo so he had it parked for a year. The tabs were 9/07 and a mechanic bought it off of him, fixed the water hose and he said he put a new thermostat in. It never overheated on me and the guy said it had never overheated. The radiator didn't cause it to overheat any, but it did get coolant all over some things in the bay, that's why you can see the orange-rusty colored dust or whatever.

I'm thinking of getting a FMIC, but I'm waiting until I know there are no problems at all and get all of my maintanence up to par. I'm not going to modify it much, if at all...mainly because of a couple horror stories I've read. There are a lot of people saying they are very reliable when they are left stock, so I might just do an intake and front mount. Nothing really major.

I still have the CB7, going to keep it around for quite a while. I took it to work Friday since my alternator was about dead. But everything's good now...purrs like a kitten. Just wish she squealed a bit louder when I let off the throttle (maybe a Greddy BOV)

But yea, I noticed it is a bit cooler, even when I drove it for about 45 minutes yesterday. It stayed a bit below the center of the temp gauge (which is where it was at before) So I say that's worth it right there
