Mick made a MESS. The biggest mess we had ever seen on here. And why? Because we allowed it. We felt sorry for the kid, for reasons I won't be going into here... and we let him get away with things we shouldn't have. What did it do? It created a ripple effect. His flaming, his idiotic remarks, his worthless posts... they rubbed off on people. People started getting just like him.

this forum has been much more of a car forum, at least to me. If threads were never closed, this place would be filled with garbage. There are alot more members now then 4 years ago, that means alot more idiots have joined since there being only 1 that I can remember of in about May of 2004.

Scott, your a moderator, its your requirement to keep the site on its designated path (simply a car forum). do i think you take it too seriously, not really. you know why? because I honestly think people on here were alot smarter a while ago.

And "having fun" and enjoying the lifestyle of the car modding world didn't need rules. Mainly because it was achieved without the garbage that comes out today.

I can usually tell to within 5 posts when a thread is going to go to far. I have no problem with a little leniency, but at the point that stupid shit starts happening, it is over.

If you want incessant flaming, go find a different forum. This one is about cars. I don't mind debates or disagreements (obviously), but when name calling starts happening, it just spreads and gets worse.

Dave is certainly not incompetent. He can wrench and knows a lot more than 80% of the forum members. Not just about cb's either.

His life...well, he's young. It seems like he's learning now.

I agree with Dave on everything he's said so far, especially about the spoon feeding. IT IS the reason why there are so many idiots ricing out cars. It's not just the fault of the forums, but all the fast and ricier movies didn't help.

THe OG forum.

Unfortunately, the ONLY way to do that is by post count, not join date. OR, he'd have to make a new user group and add every single person that was an OG to it manually.

i've never heard someone say that unless they were upset about something that happened to them, and it's almost always a thread getting closed or a user getting banned.
