Get what you want. Why let a bunch of intarweb people make your decisions for you? You know the risks involved with a bike. You know the risks with a 20year old car. Either way, hitting another object at 120mph (if either can go that fast, for that matter) is usually an unpleasant experience.

well here are some more pics.... and yeah it split the skin and muscle to the bone....

here is me asking the doctor to do something gross for the camera

                    A clean shot of it.

                    My head

                    Stitching the muscle

You can kinda see the shifter bent here

                    This side got rocked

                    My head

and somehow the fucking key got bent (my head maybe)

Now to reiterate something..... he asked us to talk him out of it. not should he or what do you think.

I could post the Video of me revving the motor, and a pic of this beater bike.
and i could also say that i had just gotten the bike running that day, and had i been wearing protective gear i probably wouldn't have needed to go to the hospital oh and i plan on getting another pretty soon.

                    okay here it is

Don't do it. 100% of the people I know with bikes have gotten into an accident atleast once. My manager by my job got his leg pinched off while riding his bike n got hit and got stuck in between 2 cars.

My mom always said "if ur gonna get a bike, make sure u have the downpayment to your coffin first." Lol

And honestly I love the 88 supra's. I wouldn't trade it for nothing.

alone in this game . ::My Ride My Way::

see my friend. it's a double blades sword. you hold it on either side and your gonna get hurt, or just feel like you being held back.

but it's your choice. but if you do, don't ever ride without full gear, and don't do anything stupid. Most accidents are the riders fault. People showing off. wheelies, stoppies, taking turns too fast, not looking at the dirt on the road and slowing down to prevent sliding. running from the cops.

on the other hand you have to be vigilant in knowing your surroundings. and you have to be the ever-defensive driver.

There would be no way in hell I'd trade that Supra for a bike.

If you really want a bike, start small and cheap.
Buy a used bike for a grand, and see if you actually like it.
If you do, and you think it's worth getting rid of your Supra, then trade.

But, I have had many friends go out about buy $5,000+ bikes and only ride them for a month.
Then they get tired of them, and sell them for about 75% of what they bought them for.

Just my $0.02, do what you want.

I advise against the 1k beater bike thing. start small yes. but make sure the bike is in sound condition. thats was my problem. i got one that needed work and it was simple problems that caused bigger problems. gotta be careful with your decision

Bikes you can buy for $1,000-$1,500 that should be in fair condition:

                              Honda Rebel.
                              Buell Blast.
                              Kawasaki Ninja.
