    Getting wheels redrilled?

There are a ton of wheels for sale in my area but they are all 4x100

As you know CBs are 4x114.3

Would it be advisable to get wheels redrilled to fit the Accord? I.e. would I be creating a potential safety hazard by redrilling wheels? I know that certain wheels (Rota C8s for example) come drilled with 8 holes for both PCDs, and thinking about it now they don't have any extra material where the lugnuts go (it's basically the same thickness I think)

Anyone done this or hear any horror stories?

I've never done it personally, though I have friends who have done it on other cars. Just buy a lug adapter. I see them on CL and eBay all the time.

I think the adapter will act like a spacer too.

As long as you take them to a machine shop, that has the right equipment, just dont sit in the driveway with a drill and do it yourself. There is a shop up in Va that does it all the time with no problems.

Weird this thread popped up! I have always wanted a second-hand imperfect set of 16" Rota GT3's to clean up/paint, and my friend has a set but they are 4X100, so I'm going to make some calls and see if there is a recommended machine shop that can redrill them, I think if there is enough material, then it's def. possible.

i would never try to do that.... seems as if there isnt and shouldnt be a clear yes or no answer because all wheels are built differently...

not to mention putting 8 hoes on 4 hole wheels will significantly take away from the visual aspect of the wheel and also prolly all but kill the value of the wheel.... id say just buy 4x114.3 wheels.

The machine shop up here will actuall weld up the existing holes then redrill to whatever specs
