two days ago i was in south houston and filled up 87 @ 3.36....an hour after that the warnings came in to houston area and now its over 4.50 and there is only premium.... its the news scaring everyone out here to fill up,causing more damage to the gas propaganda and do to fluxuation(i know thats not how u spell it but i give up) they raised the price...i just happened to be empty and filled up before that went down....

i had to go to 5 different gas stations bcuz all the lines were so long and the last one i went to i had to wait 30 minutes for a pump and then they ran out of 83 and 89 ad i had to use 93.. the highest i saw was almost 5 dollars
                            this is crazy

Wow, and I was bitching about a 10 cent jump for premium! There are still stations near me that have 93 for $3.55.

The storms down south are part of it. Another part of it was the Olympics. China basically STOPPED... which made their fuel demand considerably less. China and India are two VERY large reasons for the increase in fuel prices. There is a demand in those countries that wasn't present in recent years. Hell, India is entering the world automotive market with Tata... they already own Jaguar and Land Rover.
