Got a new MP5 and AK-997. Woo hoo!

Both got here today! 10 round clip on the AK, and a 30 round clip on the MP5. Sweet!

Airsoft, of course. Real guns are dangerous. These fire 6mm pellets or 6mm paintballs. The MP5 is waaaaay more powerful than the AK, with a greater range and it can penetrate cardboard; the AK just dents it.

I never had toys like this when I was growing up, so now I get to play at 30. Thanks, eBay!

With shipping it was $22 for the MP5, and $6.50 for the AK.

The AK is not full size and can fit in the back pocket of my Levi's. The MP5 is 1:1 scale.

My next acquisition is going to be an 1:1 airsoft AK47. I'm not going for the M16 or AR15, as they just look unrealistic and cheesey.

            eBay, baby. eBay.

It comes with about 50 pellets. You may want to pick up another 2500 or so from a seperate auction. I've already used up all of mine in less than 8 hours.

Sure enough, but I can't justify spending real MP5 money on a fake MP5. $750-$1000 is just too much to spend on a pellet gun, regardless of how realistic it is. The cheapo ones work just fine.

                    I want fully automatic

Its a single shot only, you're right.

There's automatic verisons out there but they're all battery powered 'mini' versions of them.

One day when I get around to it, I'll see about if there's a chance of converting the 1:1 MP5 to an auto with the battery operated mechanism of a mini airsoft. I'm just afraid that once I get it apart, I'm not going to be able to get it back together- its cheap plastic afterall.
