I'm in this big area...that is NOT getting rain from Gustav (north east texas area)...HA HA HA...awesome.

Course i was sliding all over the place coming up our red clay driveway...in second gear at 5000 rpms to get up it. Then I almost got stuck at the top making sure my wife would have a straight shot up to her parking spot.

I feel pretty bad for those who don't have power, and those who's homes have been destroyed near the coast, but there are even folks who've lost homes up into norther lousiana and ark. too.

I'm glad though the evacuation went as well as it did, not all those people getting stuck on their roofs like before.

They think hanna will go up florida's coast so WATCH OUT FLORIDA PEEPS!!!...ike is too far away right now.


So how do our florida friends deal with the hurricanes? I know new orleans is a bowl and that leads to more floods...but how about you florida guys? Y'all get hit EVERY time!

well fay put my front end under water my street was the only one that flooded as bad as it did. So last weekend i was doing nothing but shop vacing my carpets and pouring baking soda to get the car to smell decent and not mold. But we also went to the beach during fay and went boogie boarding it was a work out fightign the riptides but well worth it. Lol Buddy of mine had a beach side condo and we had a small hurricane party while the stroms wind was growling and howling.

Hanna montana is going to suck butt because if it moves so slightly jacksonville will have a direct hit. And i am in the process of putting a new motor in and ill be pissed if my car gets flooded again.

Gustav hit me here, though not nearly as bad as Katrina, in Biloxi, MS.
We got about 8 ft of storm surge, but luckily no water got in my house. The whole yard was under a foot of water though. Good thing this house is on a pier foundation.
