Google's new browser: Google Chrome

Im using it now, its ok. I just wish it would block the adds on pages and stuff. I like how it transfered all my Bookmarks from Firefox!!! That was nice!!

I give it 1-3 weeks before adblock plus is ported to Chrome.

It's only currently available for winblows, so no, i can't get it.

sandboxing means that each "tab" is like a whole 'nother browser. Anything that goes wrong in that tab will NOT affect the browser as a whole. It also means that its highly resilient to malware/adware/spyware/whateverware.

It's a huge step, and i think the other major browsers need to follow suit.

I did notice that. It makes a lot of sense. I'm surprised FF3 didn't have it actually.

Could you run Chrome in Wine, I wonder?

Doubtful. I'm not sure what it blocks but I cant imagine it'd block a simple picture scrolling script. Adsense... I'm not sure though.

Too soon to make big statements but I like it. It seems fairly streamlined and looks good.

EDIT: Two initial opinions

1. My scroll bar on my laptop works with Chrome only going down the page, not going up :P
2. You can create shortcuts on the desktop to individual web applications (Google is showing Gmail in it's example)

Number 2 excites me because that means that the people at Google are getting closer to releasing Gmail with the ability to access messages while offline ala Outlook.

I thought that the way that they do tabs would take much more memory

From what I've seen so far, it uses about 1.5x more memory with multiple tabs open vs. Firefox.
