    so what are these holes for

    i never seen them put to use on any car.

    There holes for brackets that hold a cable. Throttle cable or cable to auto tranny I believe, I don't remember. I had brackets on mine when I got my motor. Possibly used for cruise control cable also....

        Yeah, cable holder for sure. Hard to say since ours are LHD and these motors are from RHD.

          ahh thanks. im thinkin about shaving those god forbidden holes. they're just an eye sore for me.

            Go for it, gonna repaint the VC? It's fun. If you do, make sure you smooth all of the imperfetions out, I found 2 or 3 dimples in mine that I had to sand out.

              yea the holes are for the throttle cable when the engine was in a RHD car

                        Yeah, they hold the RHD throttle cable. My Type S swap came with the cut throttle cable, I figured ou tho that in the CD chassis, they can hold your cruise cable since they put it on the passenger side of the bay on those cars. I think somebody wanted to show off their clean-ass valve cover though, lol, it is clean btw.
