I'm not sure what this "right to work state" business is all about. As far as any business law course I've ever taken unless you've signed a contract you are employed "at will" which means your will and your employers will. If either you or them decides to terminate this situation so be it. You don't have to give an excuse and neither do they.

that(90hrs) wasnt every week,then you have to look at insurance,$280/week,taxes.401k,chritmas club all your normal deductions. It wasnt a union job$18.00/hr was all I was getting. gross pay was nice,but actual take home sucked,last week for instance 30hrs overtime, borought home $700+. so next time you want to rag on someone think first, Va is a right to work state,he doesnt have to give a reason which sucks. But thats alright,with all the epa violations,osha violations,and city code violations up at the company, after I finish turning them into those groups, I'll get my satisfaction of knowing I cost him some major fines

Its technically called "at will employment if you're trying to get technical. Yes you probably sign something at the time of hire regarding this, its also a basic understanding when a contract is not signed.

i've been through a number of jobs in the past couple of years and the contract was there everytime... and employment is supposedly void if it isn't signed
