New car???

alright, I am new to this site and to the CB7. But, I am thinking about buying one. I test drove it today and it is very fast! It has an H22A in it with i/e, clutch, and flywheel. Its brown right now with brown and tan interior. I will get a carbon fiber hood with the car. The motor is very strong. He is asking $3700 for it right now. Is that a good price? The body is in very good condition and has no rust.

Hey, thats good ole Fizzbobs car. He used to swing around the board, dunno if I've seen much from him lately. But 3700 sounds good for that car. Usually you would pay ~3000 for a stock cb7 in the same condition.. so you are getting all the extras already done for 700.

He took care of that car very very well as you can see, and never went the cheap way on anything. I wanted to trade cars w/him at one point.. but mine got in a crash

I cant see the pictures of it, But from my understanding Fizzz was first selling it for 3k! and then he traded it and that kid beat the hell out of it. The pictures arent working for me.

Fizz said the car was beat to hell, so he didn't want it back. If that IS his car, be sure to check it out thoroughly. Look him up on the board and PM him about the car. He could probably tell you the VIN, or something that would identify the car for sure. His name is Fizzbob7 on here. He's a really good guy.

Regardless, if it seems to be in good condition to you, then $3700 is a steal for all that! I paid over $4000 just to get my H22 (engine and installation). My car was $3400 with 117k on it 3 years ago!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I dont know of this fizzbob guy, but the car is in mint condition. I just ordered some stuff for it.

Thanks for the info man, but everything went smoothly. I've had it for almost 2 weeks now and everything runs perfect. The title was in his name he just did a tune up on the motor(timing belt, water pump, etc...) The tranny is fine too. So far I havent had any problems with him really, he seems to be a good guy to me. We only live about 15-20 mins away too so If something did go wrong..... lol, but its a great car. I beat a 2000 Cobra the other day and he was like WTF! Whats in that thing. I had it checked out by a mechanic and everything was cool. But I appreciate the warning.

Still, for what you paid, you got a great car. Fizz, you were selling it for what, $5500? Or were you asking a low price? Either way, that engine in a decent car is well worth the money!

Yea, i was so stoked when i beat him. We didnt go from a stop though. I was behind him and he floored it. So I floored it too, and then in 3rd gear i came up on his ass and started to pass pretty hard but then a car started to turn into my lane so i had to get back behind him. And when we pulled over i asked him if he was really going and he said "hell yea, and no offense but that was kinda embarrasing" so i said GOOD! lol But, just so there is no confusion it was 2000 Cobra, before they started supercharging them and all he had was intake and exhaust. but still... its a cobra haha

What do you mean in better condition it is in now. That makes no sense. I posted those pictures and you said that they were takin in front of your house. The car hasn't changed a bit from those pictures. So it seems like you were the one that didnt take good care of it.

i think what fizz meant was..:
for $2.7k, he had more stuffs/accessories/ect. with the car than what you got it for.. and also considering the fact that he knew how it was driven before you got the car..

if you paid attention fizz said above that the guy that bought the car from fizz admitted to beating the shit out of the car, at the track. therfore when fizz owned the car it was in better condition.
