i never took any of my backseats out, but i received my parts wagon from a straight up dirty mother fucker.. so this is what i saw after removing the front seats.. i dont have any after pics anymore, but it was damn near spotless except for the soda stains everywhere.. and no inventory, but i found a few dollars in change which all that really mattered to me.. hah..




crazy thing too was that the front and rear seats were in damn near perfect shape considering..

My seats are in good physical shape. No burns, tears, etc. Theyre 16 years old, and they show it, but yeah, i knew i'd find shit just didnt know what kind of shit, lol.

ah.. another thing i DID find that i took advantage of were a SHITLOAD of "free burger" and "free medium drink" sonic drive-in business cards.. obviously the guy knew someone that worked there because they were all from the same one..

I think aside from the change, the only things im keeping are the stamp and the rocker switch.

No telling how old it was though, I know the guy who owned it before me.
He had it for several years and it had never been broken in to when he owned it.

So i saw the thread on removing trunk pieces and back seat, and i got to thinking that its time i remove mine and clean it and see what little treasures it holds. Well here it is:

As i got everything off, i noticed the back of the seat and bottom of the seat-back were wet. There was a small amount of water under the seat. FTL.

Looks a whole lot better. I'll get to the contents here in a sec, but something i noticed while taking everything apart; the buckle on the rear DS shoulder belt was on backwards. I checked the belt and traced it up and down, and sure enough:


The rear of the car to the Right. Front to the left. The buckle IS on backwards. No biggie, just odd.

Anyways, on to my treasures. And yes i inventoried this stuff.

the stuff in RED is what interests me the most. The travel reservation and enrollment form had a previous owners name on it. I thought about looking them up, i dunno, lol. I also removed the center seat belt and buckle. Now all i have are the shoulder belts and 2 buckles.

Anyone have such luck or find such disgust under their backseats??

Wow, I bet it weighs like 50 lbs less. You may get better gas mileage now. I detailed a Dodge Intrepid and found $6.50 in change once. Then my fat co-worker stole it and hid it. That job sucked. Your car looks much better man.

Yeah, they seatback had to have weighed a good 30lbs. It was ALOT heavier than i was expecting. The seatbottom wasnt that heavy.

I didnt have to cut anything. There's the 2 shoulder belts, then the other 2 setups. One has a belt and buckle, the other has 2 buckles. I removed the belt/buckle combo. I dunno why i dont just remove the other one. I might, not sure. Might just leave it in there, just in case. But no, no cutting. I thought about trying to seperate the belt from the buckle, cuz theyre sewn toegether, but i just said fuck it and removed the whole thing.

I dont remember what size bolt, but i had a socket big enough in my tiny kit, so...it shouldnt be that hard to come across. Had to lay on some force to get it off though. Was most like torqued on.
