what an idiot. I'm trying to figure out how knucklehead didn't realize that he in reverse.

very simple.. he was too busy watching the lights/guy while backing up trying to stage properly and simply left it in reverse eagerly awaiting the tree to get to green..

its hard not to catch it when you forehead slams into the windshield. lol i love it when your car is more capable then you are. the best would be a burnout in reverse. right into the car behind him lol

I don't know about everyone else, but when I go into reverse for any reason, whether it's an auto or manual, I keep my hand on the shifter.

and?.. its pretty obvious he was a n00b and was a little paranoid about staging and launching properly.. i guarantee he wasnt even paying attention to the shifter since all of his attention was on the tree/guy guiding him back..

of course i forgot to turn off my climate control and so it was pulling air from the outside, smoking up my interior, so i open the window to air out the car and inch up to stage, dude comes over to me.
"dude put your window up!"
"d'oh, alright"
being to stage, one millimeter at a time lol and finally get both lights

"ok clutch down, first gear, thhhreee grand and hold"
feather clutch out and pedal down.

I know its all really long and stupid but it really helped with my nerves, plus when you talk to yourself inside your helmet its like your talking inside your head but out loud lol definately takes the edge off

In Part 2 he crashed and messed up his end...in Part 3 he launched in reverse b/c he learned not to let people get the best of him.

Actually, Marty never knew that the wreck messed up his hand. Jennifer learned that while she was hiding out in their future home. Doc later tells Marty that he gets into the accident, but its info he shouldnt know.

Then in the end as he's about to race Flea, he puts it in Reverse and swings it around in a 180. Then he says "Jesus, i would've hit that Rolls Royce!"

and damnit.. i just went through my dvds and checked.. it was at the end of part 3.. i havent watched them in a while.. i knew it had something to do with info they found out in the future, so i related it to part 2 automatically..

Yeah, Jennifer obtained the info about Marty in the 2nd one, but they left her sitting on her "alternate 1985" porch. They then went back and got her at the end of the 3rd one.

Side note, in case anyone didnt already know, they used a different actress for "Jennifer" in the 2nd and 3rd installments.
