Montauk Monster: Hoax? (NWS? probably not, but just in case)

Well, let me first say im pretty sure this is a hoax, or some kind of publicity stunt for something (a movie, maybe?). But there is always that little part of me who wants shit like this to be real

This "thing" apparently washed up on the shores of Long Island, whaduya think?

No, Lizzie Grubman's still alive. This is an actual monster, some sort of rodent-like creature with a dinosaur beak. A tipster says that there is "a government animal testing facility very close by in Long Island," but unless the government is trying to design horrible Montauk monsters that will eat IEDs and fart fire at bad Iraqis, we're not sure why they would create such an unthinkable beast. Our guess is that it's viral marketing for something. Ali Lohan's new album perhaps. Click thru for larger dino-damage.

after some more research, the leading theory is "decomposing dog that was thrown in the river"

I can kind of see that, but the what looks like a "beak", throws me off a bit.

Looks to be about the size of a dog. "Decomposing Dog" my ass!

But why would it be a hoax? Like the article says, unless it eats IEDs or is some kind of "war-pig"....Why? Is our gov't not busy enough, they need to grow genetic mutants?

I think it could be some kind of off-breed animal that no ones ever seen. Might even be aquatic life. If it came out of a ladfill or water source in NYC...there's no telling.

The common consensus is that the picture itself is NOT fake. Its NOT a photoshop (its already been examined by "experts").

the mystery is whether its something like a dog, or some kind of genetic experiment gone wrong.

The more i look at it the more i think it's a dog, especially after looking at K9 skulls. The strange part now is its front "legs", which don't really look anything like dog paws.

Edit: It's a raccoon. My dreams of mysterious never before seen animals have been dashed yet again

Anyone seen that damn "mermaid" that washed up in the Phillipines? Looks fake as shit......or that badger looking thing they called Chupacabra and it was found in the middle east or something? I think it's fake....but who knows.

The back-half looks like a dog, but look at the beak. No way thats a dog. The way the snout forms, and the sharpness of that "snagle" tooth.

It reminds me of a penguin. They have a lot of the same features, including the beak, but not with those teeth, longer tail and paws. Strange, for sure!
