Yes, I think apple's products suck, even though I will most likely be getting a 3G by the end of this summer.

My ipod classic has just took a DUMP on me and lost everything I ever backed up on my ipod. All of my movies, all of my video projects, all of my MUSIC which i needed to MAKE my movies. Its been freezing up on me for the past couple of months, and I've always had to reset the damn thing at least four times each time im using it.

So now, i tried to back shit up to restore it, and it just freezes on me. I reset it, and everythings GONE.

I just bought an 80gig Classic w/ the casino jackpot I won. I like it so far...just the shitty ass headphones I left in the box and bought new ones. Now its much better. Oh and it also plays through my Alpine HU, which is SICK.

Everything on the iPod should be on the computer, correct? I dont see why this is such a problem, since the software doesnt allow you to add things from unauthorized computer (without erasing everything else).

Sucks that its freezing, I would take it to an Apple Store, explain your problem, and try to get a new one. Theyre usually pretty understanding as long as its not a problem caused by user error.

old gumstick shuffle, has taken a beating: dropped it numerous times skateboarding and snowboarding. . once it fell in a puddle.. still good.

my Ipod video is great. 30gigs full of pictures, videos, games and music..podcasts, audiobooks. I don't use it often, only on road trips really.. i'll plug it into my FM transmitter and listen to audiobooks for the drive.. but it does rocks when i do use it.

non 3g Iphone.. i just aquired it. I'm not using it as a phone, but it is unlocked, and I use it to play SNES emulator, and to surf the net. I usually just keep it in my backpack, hell it was free, so why not.

My G4 15inch powerbook. I'm using it right now to post this message. It hasn't failed me with it's capabilities. It serves it's purpose. It's sleek and not bulky. the laptop is bluetooth sync'd with my blackberry pearl, and it works great with my seagate external hard drive. It also works well with my Canon Xt, no need to install the software that came with it, just automated upload and transfer to my EXT HD, with no problem. The only thing i don't like about it, it that it can't run Solidworks, but that's more Autodesks problem.. lol

Overall my Apple products have been good. My girlfriend had her ipod video freeze on her, I took it to apple and they gave me a new one right then and there. Looks like u may have just had a "Bad apple-seed" Hopefully u'll have better luck with future products.

oh yeh... once someone figures out how to hack iphone 2.0 software, i'm so gonna be using my iphone to control my laptop!

i love apple. i have had my share of problems.. but just like every other product out there. no product that is mass produced is guaranteed not to mess up. I have had apple for the last 25 years and nothing else.
