I figured as much. I also know (based on the BOSE ad lol, as if that isn't biased) that the AWACS teams chose BOSE for their headsets. Everyone I have ever talked to with them had nothing but good to say...and I am sure once I try them for 30 days, I won't want to give them back.

I do like the DC's. An excellent low to mid level product. They are tough, well built, reliable, and fairly comfortable. Definitely not a bad choice. In fact, probably the only headset brand I would consider below the Lightspeed Zulu, and Bose Aviation X, which honestly exist at a higher price level. I am fully convinced that I would still be using my first pair, had they not been stolen. LOL! I am going to keep them for a spare, so that when I take other people with me, they will have something to wear.

Sorry for the wait...according to memory, he's got a standard noise-cancelling Bose headset with a jacked in Uncle Mike's microphone.
Pretty sure their site is: http://www.uflymike.com/index.html

Looks kinda "as seen on TV" but he swears by it.

Got some real user feedback today, and have pretty much made my choice.

Lightspeed Zulu it is most likely.

$200 cheaper, more features, more effective, and more comfortable than the Bose. A local helicopter school was more or less using Bose exclusively for noise cancelling, with some of the guys only willing to use Bose.

They are pretty much all getting rid of their Bose headsets for the Zulu. One Bose guy, which was one of the Bose only guys, bought two. At $800 a piece, that is saying something...

Downsides, they don't have a financing option, and I will only get a short trial as the local aviation supply guy said he would let me borrow it for a few days, but the company doesn't actually do anything like that.
