Southside(south part of downtown) has some pretty nice apartments and it's right next to all the nightclubs and such. Northside is pretty run down but livable. Stay away from Bessemer, East Lake, Collegeville. Those neighborhoods aren't the best and it's pretty high in crime. I live about 15 minutes from downtown but I got family all over the city.

Great to know. The factory is on the northside of town. How's traffic through downtown? Is it bad or is doable? I bet it is similar to Knoxville I guess.

Honestly, it's not bad. It just sucks when there's a small fender bender but everyone slows down as if the cars on fire. Other than that, it's pretty good.
