Yeah outside of a big city, there isnt anything, but the sites are fantastic.

From what I've seen, it's ok. I was in Juarez, which is right on the boarder at El Paso. Juarez is pretty crappy due to a number of reasons and the areas outside of town are like barren wastelands.

Mine was working at a golf course.

It wasn't so bad.
I made about $50 a day in tips, but I only worked like 4-5 hours a day.
So, I lucked out.
