I just came back from the slot machines at a casino. Those damn things ate up all my money. I even stayed in one machine, instead of jumping around like novice people do. haha, anyone care to share any gambling experiences?
It was only my second time there though....but lost cough....152 dollars.....cough. I played the dollar slots and bet w/ 1 credit and sometimes 2.

Play the cheaper slots and play the max bet, that gives you the best odds. The slots are the house's bitch though. They give you the worsrt payback. I myself like the 50 hand video poker machines, at least I can pretend I affect the outcome a little. THe wife and I went to Vegas last year to get married, and we played a little bit here a little there. She still has a voucher for $28 and change from a nickle video poker machine. Missed it when we cashed out.

My strategy is I play X amount, if I win, I take my winnings and keep playing off the original bet until it's gone. I don't play my winnings at all.

i usually only play slots when i gamble, i think i never won more than maybe 60 or 80 bucks lol, i win and leave!

Slots is the worst game to play at a casino...you have the worst odds. Blackjack or poker is the way to go in my opinion. I play a home game of texas holdem every wed night. We play 5 dollar tourneys. Just for fun but you can take some decent cash sometimes when people re-buy. I took 60 bucks last night.

I played the $1 video poker and won $400 on a max bet of $5...I won with a royal flush...that same night my buddy won $3750 on the 25 cent slot machine!!

Came back with $8,400.

I don't know who has the better luck, but they're coming with me when I'm old enough.

I was thinking the same thing.

But, they have been pretty "lucky".
I can only remember one time they lost money.
But, it was only about $100.

haha well I didn't really lose my money....a few nights ago I went w/ my parents since I was bored and the casino actually gave me like a 25 dollar gift cert. if I was there at a certain time, and my parents each got the same one. So I figured I'd just go and get my money and come back. BUT....

So I get there, and the place is packed...this was like last Sat. I go to the cashiers box and get my 25, then go to the dollar slots. I put in about 15 bucks, then I immediately win $80 on a 2 credit bet. Then I cash out and play the machine next to me and 5 bucks later, I won $50. I was so ecstatic and cashed out for the night. So I had about $150 in my pocket at the end of the night.

Well FF to last night/this morn. The same 150 in my wallet goes back to them. Lifes a BITCH! I was afraid that was gonna happen. I should have deposited it in the bank the very next day. So I figure the best times to go are on either Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. Since all the old Navajo grandma and truckers are there playing like there's no tomorrow and a live band and what not. It's just busier then. When I went on Wed. (yesterday) it was pretty dead, so the slots must not have been filled at all.

haha well the cheapest machine there was the 2 cent slots lol. But the max bet on that is like 5 dollars! every time! so haha, you could end up losing more on the 2 cent machine than on the dollar slots.

And I wish I could've played w/ an X amount, I didn't think about that. And my winnings, heh, I sat at the same machine for 30 min and the most I won yesterday was 10 bucks....at this point I was already down like 40 to begin w/.

how do you know when to hit and stuff on blackjack? I guess I should read up on it, but I just feel so intimidated going up to the dealer. I turned 21 back in Feb. and have only been gambling 3 times at most since then. I've never played blackjack at a casino, just w/ friends...drinking lol, w/o betting anything.

But do you hit at like 15 or something? or does it also depend on the dealers hand and what they've got? I feel that BJ is a more controllable game vs the slots where you put money in and the machine decides if you win or not. idk.
