    They are close.
But the VX has the better MPG cause of the Vtec-E

I just went through my first tank of gas on my 97 civic hx that I picked up a few weeks ago, and I got 38.7 mpg.

i still say get a vw! its not a honda civic, it has a little bit more class to it.

you could get an older passat or something. i dunno

93 passat 1.9 turbo diesel. great gas mileage on its own and the always ongoing possibility of biodiesel!

or the 89 jetta like i said. still a classier car than the civic.

im gonna eventually mod mine out to hit like 50mph though. i just need mine to take me to work and do errands. ill use the cb7 whn i goto school since thats a 20 mile commute.

So it'll average like 130 miles/tank? Lol. Might as well just spend a little more and pick up a vespa or something like that.

Nah, you need the EDM SiR Type-S. Comes with clear, single-bulb turn signals, parking poles, foglights and heated pfm's.

Yeah, but Geo metros are only like 50 bucks, so just throw it away and get a new one, lol. My friend drives a Geo Metro and if anything goes wrong his dad hits the engine with a big wrench and that seems to fix it, haha.

QFT, but a 97hp civic is slow as well, but its awesome on gas.

80's volkswagons are very reliable! you still see them chugging along don't you. Its the older ones like 95 that had more electrical problems. (dist going out and shit)

but the 80's ones were so basic and well designed, like i said my friend drove one for a couple years through highschool and college and nothing broke once, oh it also had over 240k on it when he got it.

I want to get a Ruckus it would save me on gas so much and I can park it in my apt lol. But if no one has said it geo metro that baybeee lol. If not any older carb'd civic and so on or accord will net you 40mpg ish. Thats what my friend accord gets its like a 82? Something like that. The only problem with the ruckus is that its 30cc and tops out like at 40mph depending on how heavy tou are. However there are 150-250cc swap kits out there =D. I want to get one and throw in a 250 just for the hell of it. Ruckus' are cheap too for around 800-1300 thats not bad for a lil bike.

well ecommy cars you get what you pay for.

that being said get a mid 80's to mid 90's cars they get the best mpg and best relibility as far as cheap cars go.

i had experenice with the second gen escords the 91 to 96 and they are pretty reliable with the mazda engine. but i have to admit they don't feel nowhere as soild as our cb's

right now my car is stock and i'm getting a constang 30-32 mpg average driving and i'm get around 36 on hiways driving.

get a civic or a second gen escorts or crolla or another accord.

have anyone looked at the "browns gas or hydrogen setup?" so far my roomate made a crude verson of a hydrogen electroloses (sp?) and we noticed a 2 mpg increase and alot more torque in the lower rpms all from water. check it out on you tube. hopfully by end of this summer i will h ave a setup in my cb and will let you guys know.

it's a 49cc which allows one to ride without insurance, motorcycle license and a helmet but im still gonna sport the helmet because you never know what kind of dildos are driving out there.

id rather buy mine new so that there are no complications, im not going across country but i dont need any down time.
