I suggest the VX which has 20 more HP and its about 5mpg better.
    Something like 50 city/ 60 highway...

I get 27mpg consistanly on the Mazda, and i dont think its bad.
Getting 50mpg would have me like this...
Vx sounds good, if it's anything like my old Integra(B17A1) it should be great on gas. Keep in mind most of my shifting was done mostly at 3000 rpms, so VTEC I don't think should be an issue in this conversation. I guess the mileage could have been better if I didn't have a Short geared Ys1... but thats ha;f the fun of a G2 GS-R!

I used to get 27-28mpg in my 3rd gen GSR.
        About 31-32mpg on the highway...
I think i could have gotten more on the highway if i would have gotten a LS 5th gear

I've seen a bumper sticker that said "Hit me and we'll both explode!"

Waffle, i agree. This whole "Ruckus" thing is picking up quick.

Wes, how big is the tank on that thing? 3..4 gallons?

I know somebody mentioned B13 Sentra. I can vouch for that my old man has one, And he isn't light on the pedal, gets good mileage.

The 5spd's are pretty pepy for what it is.
                wat?

the ruckus can't do hwy and I don't even think its got enough pep to go up hills and such. I wanted one when I first started reading about them but the power ratings turned me off so I started looking at other scooters. Plus hondas bikes are WAY over priced for what you get.
                  F22b + MP1A = mad fun for me now. . .

look into a 88-91 VW GTI. my friend has one and averages 42mpg city. but hwy it goes down bc it has to rev so high bc the gearing

I have a 1995 Civic Ex and I am getting a constant 33 mpg, all freeway. Just food for thought.

You might consider selling the pos Pontiac and getting a Civic, honestly. Ive mentioned it quite a few times because of its awesomeness, but Ill mention it again. My moms 02 Civic LX 5spd got a consistent 36/41 when I had it for two weeks and I wasnt trying too hard to drive economically. This has moved the Civic quite far up on my list of cars to get after college.

Edit: I used to loathe Civics. Civic gas mileage and rising gas prices should knock anybody off their high horse and down to planet earth. Certainly worked for me.
