fanfuckingtastic.... System Restore won't work. It does everything, restarts, and says "System Restore did not complete successfully. No changes have been made to your files or settings"
Yay.
Can I sue Microsoft when I get fired?
Safe Mode here I come... I have an hour and a half to get these reports done and sent... that's pushing it. Been at this since 8 this evening.

dont be like my friend. he called me bc his new Dell was 3mths old and insanely slow. it had Vista on a AMD 64bit 2.0ghz single core w/ 512mb of ram... i timed it, it took 9mins to just open internet explorer, then it hit webpages quite quickly.
end story i couldnt get more ram and XP installed bc i was busy for 2 weeks, meanwhile he lost it and run it over w/ his minivan

That's been my solution... Pain in the ass, though! Especially since the front USB ports on my case aren't hooked up, and the ports on my keyboard don't have enough juice to run the thing. I have to pull my whole case out from under the desk.
Thanks again to Slick for getting that free USB drive for me!

I ended up messing with the program to make the transfer between computers unnecessary... So, I didn't fix the problem yet, but I got around it.
I need to try a system restore from safe mode, as it isn't working normally.
I'll probably pick up a USB hub for my desktop. I have way too many USB devices anyway, so it'll be nice to have an extra few accessible ports!
