WOW Vista F-ing SUCKS!!!

Yeah... I need my laptop for work. I need to transfer files over my network. I was in a hurry tonight to get my work done so it wouldn't be late.


So what does my laptop do? It updates itself. In doing so, it turns on the firewall. I have to figure out how to turn it off now, so I can get into it. I am now locked out of my own computer on my own network.



Microsoft must REALLY think people are stupid. Every thing I do is questioned by this idiotic OS. Everything it does on its own, it does so without giving me the option.




FUCK MICROSOFT. I'm going to get fired because they think I'm too stupid to handle my own computer. My reports are now 15 minutes late... and the firewall is still blocking me.

Ok, it's not even the firewall. Turned that off... STILL can't get on. This is fucking unbelieveable.


The only reason why I need to get on the laptop in the first place is because I can't use Access on my desktop to insert a simple BMP file. It has to make it as a "package"...

I haven't had any trouble with Vista.......... YET. I know it will come eventually. Good luck deev, I'm still to new to Vista to be of any help.

If you have any idea how I can get my desktop visible on the network again, that would be great help! The laptop doesn't see the desktop. The desktop sees the laptop, but has no permission. If the laptop doesn't even see the desktop, then there can be no permission. I need to just stick a cable between the two and see if that works.

Everything Ive heard about Windows 7 has said that, unless you have a touchscreen monitor, its going to be annoying to use. But, thats just from people using very very very early beta versions.

My desktop is running XP. It connected fine until the stupid update, now it won't work.


I have no idea how to check what updates were installed.... nor do I know how to revert back to the way it was before. If anyone knows, tell me, please!

The stupid thing just automatically updated itself. I saw the option, said "postpone", and 5 minutes later it just did it.
