the first shot reminded me of Alpine's sinister six when it had the fleece stretched over the body, but not 'glassed yet. i love the idea of this car, and yes it is completely feasable. if they make the skin multiple layers, it would not be hard to incorporate some KEVLAR or other, more advanced fabric to withstand whatever it needs to. the skin piece he was holding looked fairly thick and resilient. sure this may not happen within the next 20 years, but i almost garauntee you that some form of this will happen in the next 50.

I don't really trust this shit. I'm sure after a couple of years it would end up with holes and wrinkles all around it but I guess it's fine you can install it within 2 hours according to the get so you'll just keep buying skin for your car every now and then and spend a huge amount of money not just on the car but it's exterior. The normal term for the skin getting wrinkled would be the term they use for snakes losing their skin. Sorry for my ignorance but I don't remember what you call it in English.
P.S I don't think the wrinkle was actually real but computerized.

But yeah, it's a great idea but I can see people being stupid and messing with it on the streets.
