PC is pretty standard, but Apple is deff becoming a strong force in the market.

Leopard is really nice....i think im more excited then her.

I find this to be an ironic statement, considering that at one point Apple controlled 98% of the PC market, and now they are trying to come back, ironically using the EXACT same strategy that cost them the lead in the first place.

The ONLY thing most people can even remotely complain about with PC is Microsoft. Since there are a multitude of other options out there, there really is no complaint at all.

I don't really care who uses what, but the fact remains to this day that there is a reason the PC is overwhelmingly more popular, and will continue to be so. I have used Mac, and realistically, they aren't any easier to use, just different. They are basically selling fashion trends at the moment.

i use my macbook for graphics and photo editing... ive never found a pc that could compare on that level..... save me ur specifications because at the end of the day i bought what i wanted and have zero complaints...... like stated above its just different and it happens to be what i prefer.

Had my Macbook Pro for about 2 years now and had zero problems, and with NO maintenance what so ever. Show me PC that's done that (WITHOUT spyware or virus protection either... LOL).

I chose the macbook pro as my new laptop for 2 reasons.

1. GREAT customer service
2. It loads windows.

If something breaks in a laptop, chances are you can't fix it yourself (hardware issues). I can drop off my macbook pro at an apple store... Which are now EVERYWHERE... and they'll fix it right up. Maximum wait time is a week.

With dell, asus, acer, gateway, hp.... you have to wait for them to ship you a box. Then pack the laptop. Ship it back. Wait for the repairs. Then wait for them to ship it back. I've had friends wait 1 month for their dell laptops.

Trying to contact asus tech support is horrible. Half the time, they won't pick up.

HP, Dell, Gateway, etc. they all install a bunch of crap on the laptops before you get it. Then you have to waste a good hour or 2 uninstalling everything.

If you take a dell laptop and build it up to the macbook pro specs, the price difference is no longer an issue.

Mac now allows windows. So for engineering students (like me) I can load all my engineering software onto windows.



To those with mac...

If you need any software, let me know. I have office 2008 for mac and some other software.

ok now i got my computer all set up


i wanna try to rip my ipod onto the computer...i did it before 2 years ago and i cant remember how...

anyone done this?

yeah. I know how to do it in windows but i haven't done it in mac.

for windows, if you use itunes... just do the following
1. plug ipod in
2. go to control panel > folder options > view > show hidden file types
3. go to my computer
4. find the harddrive that is your ipod
5. find the folder with all the mp3 files.

These files are weird names. This is because the ipod renames them. Just simply copy and paste these files to your c-drive or w/e hard drive you want to use.

Then go to itunes and have itunes automatically rename the files. Then load all those songs into itunes.


either that.... or buy/download/pirate/whatever... software that moves songs off the ipod.

thank you but yesterday i bought a program, for 15 bucks, damn i already forgot what its called, i cant check because im at work, but it moved over all my playlists, songs, artwork, everything, so im ready to go, just have to reformat my ipod for mac...
