Kinda overkill for a Honda 4 cylinder.

I have the cheapest one from Harbor Freight. It has had a H22 block mounted on it for 8 months.

The one your looking at is well worth it. I have two of that model, I have had a big block 455ci sitting on one for about 4 1/2 years with barely any deflection.

well it wont be just honda 4cyls. F22b dohc, then d15bz7 then a 4.3 v6

f22b and a d series is a honda 4 cylinder. it will handle the 4.3 fine.

The 750 pounder will be fine. I have 2 of them, one with an F22 on it, one with a D15 on it. If you want, move up to the 1000lb stand, but the 2000lb stand is WAY overkill unless you're planning on some super big block build or something.

The reason I recommend the 2000lb stand is the way the feet are designed. It has a wide stance so it wont tip side to side, any other design has a habit of tipping over.

I agree, overkill, spent ~ $35 on mine. Built 3 engines on it already. Save the money and spend your savings + some more on an engine hoist to go with it (~$175).

I bought the cheap ass harbor frieght one a couple weeks ago, it was on sale for $30! Worked fine for my H23 tear down.

bought mine from pep boys quite a few years ago for like 40 bucks i think.. pretty sure its the 1000lb one, but i dunno.. been too long..

hmm ill look into the others they have. yeah the 2000lb is over double the price of the 1000lb. i just was thinking ill never know what i might get into for a project.
