    6th Gen Prelude?

Has anyone heard of this? I for one hope this is true, I was reading on a few forums that they don't think it will happen, then on a few others people thought that it would happen. Others said that the RSX/Integra took over the prelude. Although i have heard that Honda is killing the NSX which would leave it empty for a sports coupe aside from the RSX/Integra other then cars with the sedan or coupe option.
    Just looking for info

Not so much looking for an overpowered street car that will blow the doors off other cars, the way i look at it, there is no point in having a 350 hp car that you will only ever drive on the streets. Unless you planned to take it to a track. I was more looking for the unique look and nice body lines the Prelude use to carry. Like i said, just looking for info and opinions. I think it would be interesting to see how Honda would turn modern cars to match the unique look the Prelude had. I ask this question because from the day i found out what a prelude was, I have wanted one.

I personally would love to see a 6th gen made, just to see what new body lines it would have. Performance wise it would be interesting what it would have. Concerning weight the 5th gen prelude was one of the best handling cars, and was rated so by car and driver magazine back in 1997. The 4th gen prelude weighed around 2880lbs about the same as cb7.

Phew! Glad I'm not the only one here that would like to see a 6th gen. It would be interesting to see what it would have as far as performance goes. I think it would end up having a V6 option in it as well as a 4 cyl.

I would like to see it, but I doubt it'd happen. There's just no demand for it. I mean, they killed off the Integra, the Prelude won't be back anytime soon.

Did they call it quits on the new NSX? The old one has been done for a while. We're supposed to get a 10 cylinder supercar out of them for the next one (whether or not it'll be called NSX is unknown... just assumed)

With the Accord Coupe pushing 280PS, the Prelude needs to have 300 to make sense.

From my point of view, the Accord Coupe killed the Prelude, likewise the Integra, the Civic Coupe killed it off as well.

if they did it, make more sence to kill the accord coupe and have the prelude take its place. now do we want that?

i still dont understand why they killed the interga/rsx, it was way better lookin than th civic si in my opinion.

cause its proven now that the civic is in way more demand, especially with the 198hp 2/4 door si available. whats the point of an rsx/integra now?

its also proven that the Civic Type R can outperform the jdm integra type R. basically the civic got the integra beat. performance + demand...

im scared if they were to make a new prelude it would look ugly, knowing these new body styles are. the the bb6 is already a nice plat form, it just needs to balance out its weight and power.

if i had a lot of money to throw away, id slap a K23A1 and refine the front end of my car and make that my 5.5 gen prelude haha.

It probably is just talk. Theres no point in bringing it back. Theres a rumored Integra comeback (and lets face it, the Integra sold a lot more than the Prelude) so theres just no place for it.
