After seeing the curb weight of a Skyline esp the r34, it really killed the wow factor for me, I rather have an MK2 Supra or an EVO8/9. --but it'd be cool to have the right hand drive93 EX Arcadia Coupe, 5spd, f22a6, strut bars, 2"drop, baer brakes, ingalls camber kit, tokicos w/ eibach, K&N, 205s / 16s

They perform very well. Some people just dispise nissan cars for whatever reason. I just wish the prices were not so inflated cause this car would be an awesome car to own.

People like to hate on the "trendy" cars. Yeah, there are people that like the Skyline for no good reason, and people that think that they're WAY better than anything else out there. Granted, they ARE pretty potent cars... but there are better. The new GT-R may be the best buy for the money now, but the R32 isn't all that fantastic. It's just a decent all around car. Unlike the new one, it's a souped up version of a normal car, not a purpose built sports car.
I just like that Nissan souped up the Skyline... which is more on the luxury end of the spectrum. Subaru focused on the low-line Impreza, Mitsubishi on the low-line Lancer (I liked it better when the focus was the Galant, which is mid-level). Honda spread it out, but they didn't have any balls-out cars... the Civic and Integra Type R models are the closest (putting them in the low-line category). Toyota and Mazda didn't have any remarkable "normal car turned into a monster" offerings. Their sporty cars were purpose built (Supra and RX-7)
