Wow... congrats! You'll have a hell of a car built by the time you're old enough to drive it legally!
KYBs are nice for the price, but not the end-all. They're adjustible, but still kinda soft (coupled with H&R sport springs, anyway) for any real heavy use. They can put up with a lot of abuse though!
Check out Certifit.com to see if you have a location near you. You can get just about any body part from them for less than it would take to properly repair rust... Except the rear 1/4 panels. Maaco can actually repair those properly (weld in new metal) for a decent price. Or you could talk to AccordWarrior about getting new rear 1/4s I believe he knows something about that!
You should save your money as much as possible, and plan out what you want to do down the the smallest detail. When you can drive the car, just dump EVERYTHING into it at once, and have a well designed beast. You'd be in a better spot than most of us by then!

How are you all doing?
How are you all doing?
I am new to this CB7 forum. I recently bought this 92 Accord EX Coupe up at Linden, NJ for a few hundred bucks only but needed a auto tranny replacement. So I went to JapEngines at Paterson, NJ and they hooked me up with one dirt cheap. Then my little bro's @ [Lincoln Tech] students hooked me up with the install. Runs perfect now.
I bought it for my work commuter car. But looks like I am getting the FEVER once again on buying some performance goodies for it. I have always been a fan of the older gen hondas. I owned 82 Civic Hatch [sold], 83 Civic Hatch [still have it], 89 Civic Hatch [sold], 93 Prelude SI [sold], and now this 92 Accord EX Coupe.
My car needs some body work right now and the darn windows don't go down. I plan on doing some work on it once my 2 - 300ZX TwinTurbos are out on the road in a few weeks. Then I will start working on my accord. Maybe we can all meet up someday around NJ and drive around and etc....
Ok folks - Talk to you all later. Peace!!!

I'm tempest. Got intresting in making my car go faster quite some time ago, always loved the chassis of the 91 Accord, so much i've bought two. One got rear-ended so i made it a point to get the same body style. This one is a 2door so all of my friends complain, but thats ok, i dont have to ride bitch =)
Wanted to say, great site. Awesome helpful and for the mostpart MATURE comunity. It's incredibly nice to meet other people who appriciate the CB7 as much as I do. And with my new found ability that i can swap engines has got me locked into a TIGHT budget for the next few months, but thats ok
Just thought i'd drop a line here and say bad-ass job everyone, thanks for the great info. Hope to see my H22 in march2DAO (2 Door Accord Owner)
