Missouri S&T's Formula SAE team wins 2nd in Virginia

The team took second place at the inaugural Formula SAE event today, first place went to Wisconsin-Madison. We also picked up a list of awards from different events:
1st Place Autodesk Inventor Design Communication Award
2nd Place Overall
2nd Place Goodyear Best Performance Award
2nd Place Hoosier Tire Autocross Award
2nd Place Honda Dynamic Event Award
3rd Place Honda Engineering Design Award
3rd Place General Motors Fuel Economy Award
Wisconsin-Madison took home first in the endurance event today with 374.15 points, putting them at 939.61 points out of 1000. The highest points total ever at any of the events in North America. We took home second in endurance, with 359.26 points, our highest ever score in endurance. We also scored our best ever in cost and design, where we took 4th and 3rd place respectively. Our overall points total was also our highest ever, scoring 870.65 out of 1000.
The team will work to better our skid-pad performance along with bettering our sales presentation so we can have a better chance to fight for 1st place at the FSAE event in Michigan two weeks from now.
For pictures from the event check the team website in the next few days (http://fsae.mst.edu/). Also, don't forget to keep an eye on Speed Channel next weekend, the Rolex Sport Car Series airs May 3rd at 12:00PM EST. You may get a glimpse of the FSAE event during their broadcast.
even though i didnt have much to do with the car this semester, i still helped build it last semester. i'm really happy.
