    distributorless cool ey?

well.. i thought this would be cool to show u guys.. its not related to the cb7 but hell this is OT lol..
    anyhoot
what if u could make a system that would allow u to run distributorless? and in doing so be able to control timing and fuel like no other?
wellll .. thats what sean did for the 3rd gen accord...
    http://3geez.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22777
those are pics.. of the outcome..
he managed to use a GM ECM computer on the 3g totally removing the 3gs ecu and leaving it distributorless.
he make this system in order to run good levels of boost(12-15psi) the stock ecu was crap so he made up this system..
oh yeh.. he ran it at 12psi on the dyno..
he made 190hp up until the clutch gave up at 5,200rpm
    from sean himself

well guys i had to get bigger injectors and totally abuse my clutch but i finaly managed to get near the elusive 200whp on the dyno late saturday night. ill keep you posted on what she finally makes once i get a more gripy clutch. i cant pull it any higher then 5200rpm becuase the power slips it. anyways at 500rpm were looking at 190whp so 200whp is around the corner. itll post up some dyno sheets. next i need to conquer the track. and the 250ft lbs of tq from 3000rpm up is damn nice to ! at my current HP and shit i should be able to make 13.6 pass at roughly 100mph ( already beat 100mph) with ease if i can get traction and a decent 60ft time !!

so yeh.. im gonna ask him if he thinks this system can be adapted to the cb7

You can do that with an AEM EMS 30-1010 or 30-1020 and use CBR 600F4 coils or Yamaha R6 coils. They would take slight modification butit can and has been done already.

It is pretty instresting to see someone do it with GM stuff though. You can also do it if you buy Electromotive EMS but that's and arm and a leg and rewiring the engine is a pain when it's in the car.
